Our BBQ Cook Off is held every year on the third weekend in September. We host teams from all over the state of Texas as well as Oklahoma and New Mexico.
In 2012 we were designated a Texas State Championship Cook Off by proclamation from the Senate of the Great State of Texas.
Grand Champion winners of our cook off will be invited to cook in the American Royal Invitational in Kansas City, MO. and will be entered in the lottery drawing for the Jack Daniels Invitational in Lynchburg, TN.
Join us at Silver Wind RV and Cabins in September to visit with some of the best BBQ cooks around and participate in judging some of the best BBQ known to man!
We also custom cook pork butts and briskets during the holiday seasons.
ALL PROFITS FROM COOKING FOR YOU WILL BE RETURNED TO THIS COMMUNITY.
Our Chili Cook Off is held Annually in February. Like the BBQ Cook Off, teams come from all over the country to compete.
There is no requirement to be a member of CASI to cook in our cook off, but winners of our cook off, if they are members of CASI, can earn points toward entry into the CASI Terlingua International Chili Championship©. Everyone is eligible to possibly win a trophy and bragging rights. Besides, it's fun!
Join us at Quitaque Country Club in Quitaque and visit with some great chili cooks. You will also be able to purchase a cup for sampling the different chili concoctions.
We will have food and drinks available for purchase as well as fantastic desserts.
ALL PROCEEDS FROM OUR CHILI COOK OFF ARE RETURNED TO THE COMMUNITY.
